And it goes on

The prevalence of apathy in the health care systems troubles me tremendously as does the lack of respect, the strong underlying current of prejudice (religion, race, diagnosis, etc), and constant drama of egos and attitudes.  How I am going to survive intact as a compassionate and spiritual being I don't know, let alone how I am suppose to grow in these areas.  There are moments and certain people that I can connect with that renew my sense of balance and being for which I am grateful.

I must try and remember that I am Shannon, a River that is renown for wisdom, strength and beauty.  Also, I am a Heather, a hardy evergreen that runs wild and beautiful when left to herself and her own devices.  I have a community and deep roots that shall sustain me.

I get to do work I love both physically and spiritually.  How many others get to help traumatized spirits decide to stay or go and then help them through that decision?

Compassion
Respect
Strength of Spirit
Authentic Self

These are things I must hold on to and fight for regardless of the quagmire around me.

Trust

STUCK POINTS

If I rely on anyone else I will get hurt (rely = trust=hurt)

If I trust myself I will make the wrong choices and get hurt

If I allow someone else into my soul it will be broken (I don't trust my choices) (let someone else in = sees authentic self=gets hurt by self or other or both)

No matter what I do or who I am I will get hurt (others vs. self)

If I let my authentic self show I will end up sabotaging it (REWORK) (Fear. I am hurting myself)
